Today was all about comfort...
Well, our original plan didn't quite work out, but that's OK! Originally we had planned to head to Maine to visit with family, go apple picking and go to the fair, unfortunately ol' Mo-Nat (mother nature...harhar) was against us. So, instead we stayed home where it wasn't raining and did (almost) the same thing! Last night we headed to the Topsfield Fair, where we ate (among other things) caramel apples, philly cheese steak, cider doughnuts, hot apple cider, and fried twinkies. yes, fried twinkies. That last one was all Chris. Today I got to sleep in (!) till 11:00, we went out for breakfast (brunch?) and tried to go apple picking. The weather today was completely manic, on our way to the orchard we experienced torrential down-pours and as soon as we left (feeling cheated) the sun came out! Whatever, we bought apples and I made the most amazing pie!
God, I love pie. Aren't piglets cute?
